The Vivienne cause of death: confirmed, so much tragic

We have an update on the tragic departure of Vivienne.

As previously reported, the winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race UK Season 1 – which also appeared at Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 7 – in January.

The performer was born as James Lee Williams in Colwyn Bay, Wales.

The Star of Reality was only 32 years old.

“It is with tremendous sadness that we tell you our beloved James Lee Williams – Vivienne, has gone this weekend,” Viviennes manager, Simon Jones, wrote in a statement at that time.

“James was an incredibly loved, warm -hearted and amazing person.

At that time, the public was not aware of Vivienne’s cause of death.

But now we know what happened.

In a statement to the People magazine on Monday, Jones said his client died “of the effects of ketamine use causing a cardiac arrest,” added to the outlets:

“James’s family and I feel it is important to say how James Tragically Died …

“I hope that by releasing this information we can raise awareness of the dangers of running ketamine use and what it can do your body.

“Ketamine use is increasing, especially among young people, and I don’t think the full dangers of the drug are being discussed.”

Jones also said there will be “a formal study” about Vivienne’s death in June.

Drag Queen’s sister, Chanel Williams, added in a statement to attitude:

“We are still completely destroyed by James suddenly death.

“Ketamine is an extremely dangerous substance that is becoming more and more widespread in the UK.

“If we can help raise awareness of the dangers of this drug and help people who may have to do with ketamine addiction, something positive comes from this complete tragedy.”

Throughout their careers, James was open about their previous fighting with drug addiction, especially when it came to ketamine.

In an episode of Rupaul’s Drag Race UK from 2019, they discussed their four -year battle with addiction and attributes to partly the demanding lifestyle of a drag entertainer.

This updated message comes after the World of Wonder, the media company behind the Drag Race franchise, announced a new documentary, Dear Viv, is now in production with “The Blessing of James’ Family and Friends.”
