It’s great, but it’s true:
Kailyn Lowry debuted at MTV 15 years ago this month.
In honor of this milestone, the long-lasting teen-mother 2-role crew member joined with the People magazine and looked back at one and a half decade in the limelight.
“I went on mtv.com, and it said, ‘Now Casting.’ So I just sent a little synopsis of my story quickly, and then the rest was history, ”Lowry tells this publication, explaining the simple process it took to change her life forever.
Since viewers first met Kailyn, who was pregnant at the time with his first child, Lowry has continued to give birth seven times in general.
She left Teen Mom 2 in 2022, at least partly because she learned at the time that she was pregnant by her then -fucking Elijah Scott … which may have recently been caught on cheating on Kailyn.
Lowry also claims to people that she felt “pigeonhole” of how she was depicted on the program, explaining that she grew selective over what she shared in response to how she was edited and then on her side, how fans would respond to her choice.
“I had just built this house and we were on different things that we wouldn’t be able to tell the whole story how we wanted, and the way it really happened. You’re edited to four minutes a role crew and I didn’t want some things not to be shown. I wanted more of a full picture,” she says now.
Shill for a few years and Lowry has a new career.
She started podcast coffee convos with Lindsie Chrisley in 2017 … and then she added baby Mamas, no drama and barely famous for her slate.
At this point, the Killr -Podcast network of Kaffekonvos, Vibin ‘and Kinda Thrivin’ consists of hardly famous, Karma & Chaos, for Haters and Cate and Ty: Break down it.
“It was a bit like rolling the dice and seeing what happens,” Lowry says of the initial podcast.
“And then it really started. And I believe to my surprise as well as Lindsies, I think we didn’t know what we had. We were pleasantly surprised by it.”
You can make a lot of money through advertising on a podcast.
Of course, we can’t say with certainty what Kailyn goes home, but at least she can afford some solid plastic surgery.
As for where she can go from here?
“I understand that podcasting may not be an eternal thing, so I always think about the next project that I can work on that will drive me to the next thing,” says Kailyn.
“I feel I can’t be put too long. No one knows what will happen. And then it has created this business brain for me, where I know I already have to work on the next thing while I’m in my current project.”
The former reality star also thinks far down the line.
“I potentially hope to continue to build the brands to the point where people don’t necessarily remember me like anyone on the tea mother,” Lowry concludes.
“It builds something for a place where I can take a step back and not be the face of everything. I think that would be the goal for the next 15 years.”
