Sad news from the sports world today, as one of the most famous boxers of modern times is dead.
Several sources have now confirmed that George Foreman has died at the age of 76.
The sports icon – as a famous threw another career like Mogul and Media Figure – has been one of the most famous athletes on the planet for decades.

George Foremans family confirms his passing away, the statement statement
Foreman’s family issued a statement late Friday night confirming his death:
“Our hearts are broken,” the message reads.
“A devoted predicant, a devoted man, a loving father and a proud magnificent and great -grandfather, he lived a life marked by unshakable belief, humility and purpose,” the statement continued.
“A humanitarian, an Olympic and two-time heavyweight master in the world, he was deeply respected-a strength to good, a man with discipline, conviction and a protector of his heritage who fought tirelessly to preserve his good name-for his family.”


A sports legend lost
Foreman was a two-time heavyweight master, an entrepreneur, author and minister who has been a household name for generations.
“Big George” lost the first match of his career when he squeezed Muhammad Ali in 1974 in a match called “The Rumble in the Jungle.”
The match is still one of the most watched sporting events of all time.


Foreman won the heavyweight gold medal with a dominant performance at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
The most famous victory in his career came in his championship match against Joe Frazier in Jamaica in 1973.
Foreman dominated the fight against his heavily favored opponent, which led to the famous Howard Cossell call “Down Goes Frazier!”


A legend twice over
In his later years, Foreman became one of the most successful advertisers of all time.
His George Foreman Lean Mean Meal Fat Reducing Grilling Machine-Seners Simply known as “The Foreman Grill”-is still one of America’s most popular kitchen utensils.
At the time he died, foreman remained one of the world’s most famous athletes.
