Together with TV personality Gayle King and Jeff Bezos’ fiancé Lauren Sanchez participated in a rocket launch flight that brought the whole female crew to a height where they briefly experienced weightlessness.
From launch to landing it all took a little over 11 minutes, so referring to it as a space mission or calling celebrities astronauts feel a little uncomfortable.
Many have dismissed the event as a PR stunt (it didn’t help Katy revealed the setlist of her upcoming tour while floating in space) and questioned the need to perform a wildly expensive operation that seemed to have no clear goal.
Katy seemed to receive most of the criticism of reasons both obvious (setlist cringe) and more unclear (her betrayal with former friend Kesha really cost her a lot of fans).
So stunted to help turn Katy’s career around after the floppe that was her latest album has instead resulted in another PR crisis.
And just as it looked like things were starting to blow over, the living legend Martha Stewart added his name to the long list of celebrities that have dipped Katy.
Martha serves a roast with a side of shade
Even her fans may not remember, but Martha experienced Zero Gravity back in 2007 when she took a flight on the Boeing 727 G-Force One.
By maintaining his new tasks as the reigning queen of shade, Martha released a Throwback video from the flight this week.
To make sure no one missed her point, she wrote, “Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?” On the clip. These are, of course, the opening texts for Perry’s 2010 -hit “Fireworks”.
“In the event that you distributed in 2007, Martha has always been ahead of her time,” Martha (or her team) wrote the post, with a chance that her intention was still not obvious.

Of course, Martha’s fans were excited to see her calling Katy in such a funny way.
“Martha, I love you so much. She said,” You forgot? Lemme reminded you, ”a fan wrote, according to page six.
“I love the universal draw. So good,” commented another.

The list of celebrities who have called the Blue Performance of Origin is a growing countries that already included Kesha (of course), Olivia Munn, Jessica Chastain and Emily Ratajkowski, who delivered some of the most scary criticism:
“You are interested in Mother Earth, and it’s about Mother Earth, and you go up in a spaceship built and paid for by a company that is ruining the planet?” she asked in an Instagram video.
It was almost as bad as fast food chain Wendy’s tweeting, “Can we send her back?” When Katy returned to Earth.
Yes, KP probably feels like a plastic bag at the moment. But less American beauty Variation and more the kind that was brought on a dog walk.
