At the end of May, rumors arose that Vanessa Bryant was possibly pregnant – first apparently out of nowhere.
The beloved widow is 43 years old, so a pregnancy is probably very possible. But where do these rumors come from?

On Sunday, June 1, Vanessa Bryant went to her Instagram story to debunk the claim that she is pregnant.
And she got some help from Rihanna. Kind.
As you can see on the screen, she decided to hit the claims and write:
“Me protect my peace, not pregnant and have fun all summer.”
Bryant used a number of classic Rihanna Paparazzi photos, where the phenomenal singer wore a drink and wearing snorkeling gear – and had chosen to turn the bird on photographers who caught her summer fun.
The message is clear: Vanessa Bryant is not pregnant and has no plans to get pregnant (at least during the duration of the summer, which begins the night of June 20 and ends in the afternoon of September 22).
In addition, she is clearly – albeit by proxy – to turn the bird against people who trouble her with rumors.
Especially considering that pregnancy rumors so often carry an undercurrent of bodily shaming. Enough is enough.
