Swifdoo is free to download and use, but Apple’s built-in preview app performs most of the tasks offered, including correct PDF editing that Swifdoo doesn’t.

Best prices today: Swifdoo PDF to MAC
PDF editors are important for Mac users who live the paperless lifestyle. While MACOs can see, comment and sign PDFs, naturally, gives us little control over the core content of the files. So those who want to finish the text or pictures of a particular PDF document must rely on third-party solutions. With so many apps out there, finding the right choice can be difficult. Swifdoo PDF for Mac is one of the options you may encounter when hunting for an editor. Is it something good though?
Pricing and accessibility
Swifdoo PDF supports macos, iOS, iPados, Windows and Android. However, the features differ depending on the platform you are using. So, for example, the Windows app packages different options that are not available on macOS or the mobile clients. Similarly, the price is based on what you run it on. In this review, we evaluate Swifdoo PDF for MacOS specifically. Rating, advantages, disadvantages and overall specifications apply only to this particular client.
Swifdoo PDF for MacOS is available to install and use as a document provider for free. However, the paid version is required to unlock its core functions, such as editing and annotation. At the time of writing, the monthly plan costs $ 10, while the annual goes for $ 20. Alternatively, you can avoid the recurring subscription by paying a one -off fee of $ 50 or $ 70 to own a lifetime of one or two Macs.
Before committing to the purchase, you can create an account to claim a 7-day free trial and evaluate the service. Unfortunately, if you decide not to continue, contact the company’s customer support to have them delete your account and its data.

Features
Foundry
While Swifdoo PDF was designed for Intel Macs and apparently not been optimized for Apple Silicon Chips, it runs pretty smooth on my MacBook Air M2. It has a rootless main side where you can interact with recently seen files or open another PDF via Finder.
Once you have loaded a document, you can fine -tune it using the standard annotation tools if you use the paid version. These include highlighting, insertion of notes, underlining, striking through, drawing, adding text boxes and forms, stamping and more. Other Swifdoo PDF-Frynse benefits include side rotation, printing and an auto-generated index that allows you to quickly jump between document sections based on their headings.
In addition to the basics, Swifdoo PDF supports simple document manipulation. The software provides full control of the pdf files’ core content, so you intuitively adjust the existing text’s font, adjustment and distance. Similarly, you will change the size, crop, move and rotate original images or paste new ones. If you handle sensitive files, Swifdoo PDF also allows you to protect documents with a password to prevent unauthorized viewing, editing or copying.
Unlike the Windows client and other rival MAC apps, Swifdoo PDF for MacOS does not include an AI -Chatbot to help, optical character recognition (OCR), batch treatment, file format conversion, cloud -sync etc

Should you use Swifdoo PDF?
If you are planning to use the free version of Swifdoo PDF, the software is not worth it. Given that even annotation tools are now paid (an earlier version offered them for free), you may be able to rely on the built-in Apple Preview app instead. After all, MacOS’s original solution requires no additional app installation and offers both viewing and annotation features for free.
If you have short-term PDF editing needs and are planning to subscribe to the service for just a few months, you may be able to explore alternative PDF editors for Mac. At the steep price of $ 10/month you can find more functional solutions that support the excluded tools mentioned in the previous section.
Otherwise, if your PDF editing of workflows is limited to basic image and text manipulation, the software is reliable and may be worth it when choosing the more reasonable prices annual or lifetime licenses.
