There was so much news that came out of the 2025 Academy Awards that you may have missed the controversy involving Megan Thee Stallion and comedian Hannah Berner.
Next to her guy Cottage Star Paige Desorbo, Berner conducted a very short interview with red blanket with Meghan at Vanity Fair’s Post-Oscar party.
The whole conversation lasted just over a minute and consisted mainly of Hannah Gushing about what a big fan she is.
And yet the answer from the public has been so overwhelmingly negative that Berner thought the need to send out an apology.
You can watch the video above and you are likely to be able to find out the moment the interview goes a little wrong.
An interview with red rug goes out of the rails
“When I want to fight for someone, I listen to your music,” Berner said for a few seconds into the interview, causing Megan to answer:
“You want to throw away the match that fights for the window. You will be cute and be a bad b-tch. “
Maybe not to pick up on the queue, Hannah continued with the violence and anger -motif and said, “When people talk shit, I go, ‘Turn on Megan you stallion!'”

“Body-to-day, I look pretty, I look so good,” Megan said in a brave effort to push the conversation in a more normal direction.
But Hannah continued with the strange gloomy and noticed that Megan “through so many dark things.”
“I just look in the mirror like,” cursed, you that girl. So go out and shop like you that girl, ‘”Megan replied again and kept things positive.
As you probably already know, Megan was shot at the foot of former girlfriend Tory Lanez in 2020. Tory is currently in prison for the crime.
It’s probably one of the “dark” things Hannah was referring to.

But this was an Oscar afterparty, and Megan would of course have preferred to keep things easier. Still, the interview was not a total train wing.
Most people who were critical of the conversation would probably just say that Hannah could use a little more media education. But some people went much further and accused the cartoon of throwing racist “microaggressions” on Megan.
Hannah emits an apology
The situation became so bad that Hannah felt the need to send out an apology today.
“Interview with Megan you stallion was a dream for me. I love her music and it’s my go to when I need to increase my confidence before a show, ”wrote Berner in her Instagram story (via US weekly). “Looking back. In the interview, I wish I used any other word except ‘battle’ to describe how her songs affect me. “
“It was a careless choice of words, and although there was no bad intention, I acknowledge and acknowledge that what I said has a deeper meaning and I am so sorry for Megan. I value everyone who brought this to my attention. “
Whatever your feelings about the interview seem to be clear that Hannah meant no harm and has learned from the experience. Hopefully, all parties involved will be able to move on from this one.
